If we want to play divisive Russian politics, let’s debate this one: Restore Democracy as anything else is un-American. Here’s a hint a true patriot will choose team America over team Fumbleruski. Our forefathers never intended for this country to be a foreign influenced fascist corporate kleptocracy, that is very clear.
The good news for those that don’t believe in democracy or the American way is there are plenty of places around the world that don’t either and anyone that finds him or herself to be a true die hard un-American can always emigrate. Don’t forget to pay your exit tax on the way out the door though. Unfortunately for America’s wealthy, those non-democratic countries may not have the same level of socialism for the rich available to immigrants. The Republican party has been pulling a “Trump” for the last 30 years. I can only hope the word “Trump” becomes synonymous with a large scale fraud by a delusional grifter. Does anyone else remember when Donald Trump used to act ape-shit and turn even more orange and blow his comb over every, single time when Rosie O’Donnell used to mention the 6 times Donald J. Trump did IN FACT file corporate bankruptcy? There’s a valid reason American banks and bankers ended up treating Donald Trump like a contagious leper.
Much of the 1% has used their money, power, and influence in The United States to avoid taxes and to transfer 20 trillion to their private balance sheets by adding 20 trillion to the national debt. Amazing how almost the exact same dollar amount came out of additional government borrowing and into a private pockets of the 1% from 1989 to 2019. It’s almost like the Republicans had Donald Trump as their financial advisor all along. A national debt is the sum of all deferred taxes because had taxes been properly enacted and enforced as we went along there would have been no deficit spending leading to an ever-ballooning national debt. The Democratic presidents are famous for lowering or even eliminating the deficit only for Republican saboteurs to absolutely blow it up again. Essentially using their vast wealth and bribed tax savings to buy more Congressmen. Instead of paying taxes it has been cheaper to buy a Senator or two to further defer future taxes to increase their personal balance sheets for the entire last three decades. I get it Republicans solely wanted to fill their cups with more. We need to remember ‘more’ can be a never-ending quest. We also shouldn’t allow those with no decency to decide what is too much. I also saw 10 year old yesterday insist anything else could happen as long as she was given priority and “first”. Well, at least she was transparent and honest about her intentions. Donald Trump always did the same thing in his businesses he moved any value or wealth (mostly money he borrowed or laundered) onto his personal balance sheet and then filed corporate bankruptcy.
Now we’ve got billionaires crying on TV because Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders might make them actually pay taxes. Quite frankly, I have very little sympathy for them. There’s an immense amount of unnecessary suffering going on in this country. This is the only developed country in the world that will deny sick people necessary medical treatment or even sick leave. This form of sick capitalism is on full display with every GoFundMe to save a life being the advertisement. America’s rich have the wealth of royalty and yet many feel ZERO social obligation to contribute anything…EVER. Many like Bezos or the Waltons even deny a livable wage or health insurance for their very own employees, that make them millions of dollars richer every single hour. Well here’s a News Flash for those billionaires if many Americans essentially living in poverty due to the now high cost of living in The United States and the relatively decreasing wages year after year are paying taxes every single year then there’s absolutely no reason any billionaire out there can’t also meaningfully contribute.
