Here in Hawaii when people wanted to protest the TMT 30 meter telescope on the summit of Mauna Kea on the different islands, the word got out there was to be a “420 revolution”. That is to say every business day at 4 pm people were asked to protest by driving no faster than 20 mph from 4 to 7 pm.
Let’s just say that non-violent protest ended up getting a lot of attention on Oah’u especially in Honolulu, which already has a rush hour traffic problem.
I can’t think of a better place to protest an incompetent American President and complicit United States Senate than on the roadways of Washington D.C. The week of July 29 through August 2, 2019, only the Senate will be in session before the Congressional break. Then both Houses will reconvene again starting September 9, 2019.
If that Washington D.C. gridlock doesn’t get noticed the protest could always be moved in some form to New York City. If we learned anything from the recent air traffic controller strike it was the rich and powerful in this country don’t like to be inconvenienced AT ALL.
Want your voice of protest to be heard and talked about in Washington D.C.? Well, crank up your radio and it’s finally time to put fed-up Americans back in the driver’s seat of this country. Don’t worry it’s safe as no one was injured driving at 20 mph either. However, a few Republican Senators might get really butthurt if they miss their flights back home for their long and paid for summer break. Consider it your patriotic duty to drive the American President’s IQ.
